Practical guidance on supervision, HR, and employment law — for the people in your program who carry that responsibility. Register & Purchase TicketsSched Event PageSeries Overview
Managing people is one of the hardest, and highest-stakes, parts of running a program. This series is built for the people in your program who carry supervision, HR, and legal responsibility, whether that’s a full management team or a director doing it all.
Over six virtual sessions, you’ll get practical, real-world guidance on performance management, discrimination and harassment prevention, accommodations, team conflict, coaching, and building stronger supervision skills – with time built into every session for discussion and workshopping your own situations.
Facilitated by Abha Thakkar, with attorney Emmerson Mirus of Boardman Clark LLP joining for the first two sessions on the legal and risk side.
What’s Included

- Parts 1 & 2 feature 60 minutes of legal content from attorney Emmerson Mirus (Boardman Clark LLP), followed by a short break and 50–55 minutes of discussion facilitated by Abha Thakkar.
- Parts 3–6 feature 60 minutes of content from Abha Thakkar, followed by workshopping and discussion.
