Professional Development

The Wisconsin Head Start Association offers many professional development opportunities to its membership each year.  These events include our Quarterly meetings held each January, April, June and October, the Annual WHSA Training Conference hosted each February. The WHSA Professional and Leadership Development Work Group (PLDWG) creates and implements professional development and training opportunities for Wisconsin Head Start & Early Head Start programs. Collaboration

Head Start Collaboration Office in each state facilitates and enhances coordination and collaboration among Head Start and Early Head Start agencies and other state and local entities to carry out activities designed to benefit low-income children from birth to school entry and their families, as well as pregnant women. Professional Development and networking that offers a richer experience of camaraderie to reflect with a group of coworkers. Participants will examine multiple perspectives on ideas and practices, engaging in peer learning and shared enjoyment of work over time with trained facilitators leading workshops & discussions.
