  • 5-Year Period Overview: Understanding project periods versus budget periods and grant application timeframes
  • Grant Applications: Application requirements, budget development strategies, and useful tips for success
  • Reporting Requirements: Key deadlines and forms including SF-425, SF-428, SF-429, and A-133 Audit requirements
  • Notice of Award (NOA) Review: Understanding funding, terms and conditions
  • Post-Award Management: Budget revisions, carryovers, and disposition procedures
Session 2: Uniform Guidance, Cost Allocation, and Non-Federal Match

This session focuses on fiscal regulations and practical applications of uniform guidance. Topics include:
  • Regulatory Updates: Latest Uniform Guidance updates, including October 1, 2024 HHS adoptions and October 1, 2025 implementation requirements
  • Grants Policy Statement: Key provisions and compliance requirements
  • Cost Allocation and Budgeting: General methodologies, direct and indirect costs, administrative costs, and practical examples
  • Non-Federal Match: Valuation methodology, allowable sources, waiver processes, and helpful tips
