
WHSA April Advocacy Event and Legislative Visits
April 15 @ 12:00 pm - April 16 @ 5:00 pm
Join us for two impactful days of advocacy training and action:
DAY 1 (Tuesday, April 15) – Skills Development at The Concourse: Begin your advocacy journey with “Raising Your Voice for Change” from 1:00-2:30 PM, learning to transform classroom stories into powerful messages.
Continue with Advocacy & State Leadership training from 3:00-4:30 PM, mastering effective communication with legislators. End the day networking with fellow advocates from 4:45-6:00 PM.
DAY 2 (Wednesday, April 16) – Putting Skills into Action: Start with a hot breakfast buffet from 8:00-9:00 AM to fuel your advocacy day.
From 9:00-11:15 AM, receive final preparation and training for your legislative visits. Join others at the Capitol Rally from 11:30 AM-12:00 PM (tentative), followed by a lunch break. Beginning at 1:00 PM, meet with legislators to share your powerful Head Start stories and make a real difference for Wisconsin’s children.
