Western Dairyland Head Start is hiring a full-Time, full-Year Early Head Start Teacher Assistant to work at our newly opening Early Head Start Center in Independence, WI. This position will be scheduled Monday-Friday.
The Early Head Start Teacher Assistant will be responsible for supervising children and their activities to ensure their safety and well-being. Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing classroom activities. Provide children with a model to support and develop positive self-concept. Support inclusion of all children. Assist in cleaning duties.
Candidates should have a high school diploma. Ideal candidates should have an associate’s degree in early childhood education, CDA or a related field or Registry certification at the Teaching Assistant level. Introduction to Child Care Profession must be completed within 6 months of hire.
*Western Dairyland EOC, Inc has implemented a 4-day work week for most employees, these positions are exempt from that and will instead be offered an additional incentive payment of $7,800 per year for working five days per week.
