WHAT: The First Annual Morning with the Experts: Healthy Minds and Education

WHEN: Saturday, May 21 from 8:30 a.m. to noon (complimentary coffee, bagels, and donuts at 8:30 a.m.; event begins at 9:00 a.m.)
WHERE: The Waisman Center (1500 Highland Avenue, Madison, WI 53705) in the Friends of the Waisman Auditorium. Parking is free and open to the public in University lots 60, 76, and 82 during the event. Can’t make it in person? Then watch the event using live online streaming the morning of May 21. Through the link online participants will be able to submit questions to the discussion panel.
DESCRIPTION: Come learn and ask questions about the relationship between neuroscience research and learning in the classroom. Researchers and staff from the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds (CIHM) at the Waisman Center will present research studying the effects of mindfulness in preschool and elementary classrooms. The presentations will be followed by an interactive panel discussion with educators involved in the research.
