The Wisconsin Council on Children and Families (WCCF) has released “The Current Status of Wisconsin’s Child Care Workforce,” the third policy brief in the Pathways . . . to Early Childhood Education series exploring career pathways in early childhood care and education and the connection to higher education.
The new brief shares results of a recent survey of the early care and education workforce related to issues like retention and quality in the field. The results reveal strengths and challenges found in early care and education professions. It also suggests that emerging efforts to address turnover and improve quality are leading to positive trends in the workforce.
