The Wisconsin Oral Health Program in the Division of Public Health at the Department of Health Services has published its 2010 Burden of Oral Disease in Wisconsin report, a comprehensive review of the most current oral health data available in the state with national and Healthy People 2010 comparisons where possible. The report includes data related to oral disease, prevention programs, risk behaviors, education, and workforce regarding oral health in our state and highlights disease, risk, and access disparities among certain locations and populations. Data compiled in the report can be used to make determinations about where to target resources, programs, and policies to increase access to dental care and decrease oral disease disparities in Wisconsin.
