Overview:

- Are you ready to take your leadership skills to the next level?
The goals of the Parent Ambassador Leadership Institute are to:
- Bring families together from across Wisconsin to learn and practice leadership skills to take back to your community to make life better for young kids and families.
- Build confidence and skills in leadership that can better a situation today but be used life-long.
- Create a network of other parent/family leaders to support one another’s leadership.
What Will I Learn About?
- Your own leadership style and the style of other strong leaders
- How to build advocacy and representation skills on issues and in organizations you care about
- Civics, government, and getting and staying involved as a leader
- Early childhood policy and programs
- Building allies
- Using media to tell your story
- The power of parents/families in decision-making
- More than we can imagine
Your Promise:
- Participate in 56 hours of face-to-face training with other parent/family ambassadors in January-July 2015.
- Participate in one 90 minute call each month with other parent/family ambassadors in January-November 2015.
- Participate in one 30-60 minute project mentor call from January-November 2015.
