WHAT: Supporting Infants and Toddlers in Wisconsin Training

DESCRIPTION: This event will feature two days of Program for Infant/Toddler Care (PITC) training on early brain development and responsive relationships as well as on risk and resilience in community, family, and child (which includes child temperament) from both center- and home-based delivery perspectives. Another two days of the event will be devoted to training on child welfare issues and meeting the needs of infants and toddlers in out-of-home placement. Participants will hear from Wisconsin professionals serving this high-needs population to learn about local programs and new strategies to meeting the needs of at-risk infants and toddlers. The training is offered at no cost to participants and is open to professionals working with infants, toddlers, and their families including representatives from Early Head Start, Birth to Three, child welfare, and home visiting. Many resources including books and videos will be provided to participants.
