DESCRIPTION: Community Action Agencies (CAAs), Head Start programs, and other nonprofits and government grantees face an array of ever-changing obstacles, rules, and regulations.  How do you work with your board and comply to requirements without losing sight of your organization’s mission and program goals?  What legal issues is the CAA network facing and how can you work with an attorney?  How do you manage various fiscal challenges?  During the 2011 CAPLAW National Training Conference, our expert faculty of attorneys, accountants, government officials, and nonprofit managers will answer these questions and give you the tools you need to resolve the legal, financial, and management questions you encounter every day.  Workshops are relevant to nonprofits and government grantees, with a special focus on issues faced by both nonprofit and governmental Community Services Block Grant recipients, Head Start programs, their delegate agencies and other affiliates.
