Has High School Diploma or GED.
Has degree in social work or related field (preferred).
Has home-visiting/case-management experience with families of diverse backgrounds (preferred).
Has knowledge of or experience in child development (preferred).
Has experience working independently.
Has good oral and written communication skills.
Is available for occasional travel.
Is available to work some evening and weekend hours.
Possesses skills in and/or is willing to learn necessary CESA 7 hardware functions and software applications.
Possesses either a valid driver’s license and access to an insured motor vehicle, or other timely access to private transportation, to facilitate assignments to classroom sites, meetings, or other off-site destinations.

We strive to meet all the developmental needs of children and families and help prepare them for school. The family advocate role coordinates services and activities with families and communities that foster strength, healthy living, and overall well-being. They also provide support in a case management style and act as a liaison between families, staff, the community, and other family-related services. The family advocate encourages all family members to become advocates for their children and family.
Position is 20-25 hours/week covering Brown County. Hours will vary but are typically M-Th 8:30-3:00, with occasional Fridays. evenings and weekends. Position is school year August- May
