During the morning we will share the basics of Head Start and Child Care trends to increase an understanding of how the systems support families and infants and toddlers.  This interactive session will increase our awareness and appreciation of each other’s strengths and challenges while identifying resources for collaboration.

Local partnerships will share approaches to building successful Head Start and Child Care collaborations as well as barriers and helpful strategies.

12:15             Networking Luncheon – Exploring Values and Experiences

  • How are quality initiatives impacting child care?
  • How are performance standards and quality initiatives impacting EHS/HS?
  • What is the best reason to find ways to partner?

1:15               Developing Partnership Opportunities

Local teams will discuss how to design and implement collaborative comprehensive service delivery models; encourage mutual accountability and tracking outcomes, team around quality improvement and professional development resources, and engage families in successful service delivery to infants and toddlers.

Local teams will identify concrete and specific next steps for collaboration and develop and action plan.
