DESCRIPTION:  The Head Start Family Engagement Week will feature a series of webcasts and a national conference call to introduce the Parent, Family, and Community Engagement Framework (PFCE Framework). These activities will support your understanding of how the PFCE Framework defines engagement in the context of best program practices and program requirements.

Monday, August 15: The PFCE Framework and School Readiness – OHS Director, Yvette Sanchez Fuentes provides an overview; also Head Start and Early Head Start programs, State Associations and National Organizations will receive the IM and PFCE Framework

Tuesday, August 16: Parent and Family Engagement Outcomes – OHS Director, Yvette Sanchez Fuentes speaks with Head Start parents

Wednesday, August 17: Program Leadership and Family Engagement – OHS Family and Community Partnerships Specialist, Kiersten Beigel speaks with two Head Start Program Directors

Thursday, August 18: Children’s Learning and Development and Family Engagement – Kiersten Beigel speaks with an Education and Curriculum Director and a Family Services Coordinator

Friday, August 19: National Head Start Family Engagement Conference Call – Q&A with ACF Deputy Assistant Director and Interdepartmental Liaison for ECD, Joan Lombardi; Yvette Sanchez Fuentes; Kiersten Beigel; and The National Center on Parent, Family, and Community Engagement
